SoftPhone - Download and Install

We recommend FireFly for its ease of use. While you may use other SoftPhones, at present FireFly is the only supported SoftPhone available.

Installation Instructions

1. Once the download completes, double click the executable to run the install wizard.

2. Follow the prompts to complete the installation. You should be able to accept the default values presented in the wizard, however feel free to customise them if you feel the need.

3. Once the install is finished, load up FireFly. The first time it is run, you should be presented with the following screen:
   
   
    

4. Select the Connect to a third-party network option and click next

5. You will then be presented with the following screen
   
   
    

6. Enter the following details in the form provided:
   
   Network Name: VCHAT
   Type: SIP
   Server Address: sip.vchat.net.au
   Username: your account number
   Password: your password
    

7. Click the finish button. 

8. You may now dial by using the keypad on your keyboard. Please make sure you are connected to the internet as your calls will now be routed over your connection.
